But after one day, the unit began to buzz 60Hz noise horribly. At first I thought it was the dryer’s buzzer going off. I returned one, and the manufacturer happily shipped me another, no questions asked (hence the second star). But the second one did the same thing. These aren’t cheap, and I’m not amused. I don’t use it because the buzz is simply unbearable and I’m not sure I trust something that makes that much physical noise when not doing anything not to burn my house down. 0  Did not work for our home application, By Verified Purchase(What’s this?) We previously had a repeater/coupler on our dryer and all the X10 signals would go across the two legs of our home. We changed our dryer to a 4 prong and the old repeater/coupler could not be used anymore. We purchased this phase coupler for our range and it would not repeat the X10 signals across the two phases in our home. We ended up returning this unit and purchasing a 4 prong repeater/coupler again for our dryer. Now, our X10 signals are reliable again across the home. Makes it much nicer to go to work on a cold winter morning. This stuff just works. I never even thought of looking at Amazon for it.
