Just be sure that you get the correct version when buying. The cheaper version is for incandescent and halogen lights only. The slightly more expensive one if for: incandescent, halogen, CFL, and LCD. I will clarify for the reader according to my experience. When I slide the switch, the light output of each of my three LED bulb lamps does darken. One of them by like 20 %. All three w/ a hum. All three w/ flicker. So here's my product description: B/c this switch dims LED bulbs, this switch is truly "compatible" w/ CFL/ LED's. However, the hum and flicker that come w/ the maximum 20 % change in light intensity are *incompatible* w/ the comfortable living room environment I bought the dimmer to help create in the first place.
