I really like that it is a consistent high quality and good design. There are four things that I really like about these tongs: 1. They have silicone grips on the sides for your hands 2. The silicone on the hands of the tongs is formed instead of dipped– this means they are edged toward the item you are trying to pick up & manipulate. Many others are round curves on the edges and actually make it harder to pick up objects 3. The circle at the top can be pushed in to hold the tongs closed when you store them so they take up less space. It’s a 50/50 whether tongs have this feature, and for this price they definitely are a top notch feature/quality. 4. The price. This is a fantastic value By a lot of patient hours, days and years of reviewing, I found myself in the top reviewers on Amazon. This wasn’t a goal or result of self promotion, but by focused reviewing. I sometimes get contacted by manufacturers or sellers who ask that I provide an unbiased review. What I like about them: – Thick metal arms – Silicone head grips – Non-slip padding for the hands – Loop on handle for hanging – Locking mechanism for storage in the closed position They are very thick and sturdy. They really are quite well made, the steel arms are thick, the silicone grips are thick. The only concern I have is that food or grease might get stuck in small crevices of the tongs between the silicone and the metal, but apart from that I like them very much. These are easily the nicest tongs I have ever used. My wife loves them as well, and she has gone through her fair share of tongs (and countless other kitchen utensils). The silicone grippers at the end are fantastic and easy to clean. The silicone along the handles helps to ensure you have proper grip and also prevents you from burning yourself if, for some reason, the metal gets hot.
