The description stated this "film would block views and viewers", it doesn't! I purchased for two large bathroom windows that are located and accessible on a wrap around deck of our log house. When I was installing the film, which was a little tricky, I thought it looked really clear instead of providing privacy protection. In the day, looking from the deck, without a light on inside, you couldn't see in, but at night with a light on....you could see right in, and clearly see the numbers on a clock on the wall 10' from the window! Went to all the trouble installing it, can't take it back down and return it or I would. If you're looking for privacy film for a bathroom or bedroom, this is NOT what you want. If you just want something to make your windows look different, this is all it's good for.

For my purposes, this film worked well. I used it to decorate clear glass doors of a console where I store items. It helped to hide the items within. That said, it is in no way useful for completely blocking out the items. It offers just enough camouflage to keep one's eye from fixating on the items behind the doors. No way would I use this film as a privacy film on my windows. It is a lovely pattern, and looks like string work, but more for softening the ability to see through glass than for privacy. Very easy to install. All I needed were scissors, a box cutter, my cell phone for pressing/smoothing out bubbles, and the will to do it! Easy to reposition if needed. I would recommend this film for decorative purposes.
