The first one I ordered came dented by the delivery service. I contacted Amish Wares and they sent a new one out immediately along with emailing me a freight paid label for returning the damaged one. The customer service was absolutely the best. The craftsmanship is great. The wood is sanded smooth and takes a stain well. It looks great in the kitchen and really is nice keeping root veggies fresh. I lined the bottoms with parchment paper in case any of my veggies had rotten spots so that the wood wouldn’t get spoiled. Once lost, this rediscovered masterpiece catches the ear and captures the heart with its graceful melody and stately tempo. Popular as a wedding processional, the melody has also gained popularity as holiday music, making our Pachelbel Canon Chime an ideal gift for weddings, holidays and any special occasion. This chime offers the unique combination of a second petit chime that hangs within the primary chime, offering both low and high tones to sing the sounds of hope, joy, love and promise. Over 30 years ago, Grammy award-winning musician and instrument designer Garry Kvistad created the first Woodstock Chime from an aluminum lawn chair he found in a landfill. Fascinated by the Scale of Olympos, a 7th century pentatonic scale that can’t be played on a modern piano, Garry cut and tuned the lawn chair tubes to the exact frequency of the ancient scale. The resulting Chimes of Olympos was the first Woodstock Chime and is still one of our best selling, musically-tuned windchimes. Garry and his wife Diane founded Woodstock Chimes in 1979 and still develop the chimes today. It remains a family-owned business in New York’s Hudson Valley.

I was surprised to learn that this chime actually has two sets of chimes: Larger chimes that produce deeper notes on the outside and smaller chimes that produce higher tones on the inside. Very cool! And it sounds wonderful!
