The GZ550 fan kit is designed to fit a series of fireplaces, including many models from Continental and Napoleon. The blower kit includes all of the components you’ll need to successfully install a blower into your fireplace for the first time. The GZ550 mounts easily using the supplied bracket. Noise reduction padding is also included to help eliminate vibration and reduce noise. The GZ550 is designed using a thermostatic on/off switch, which will automatically turn the blower on and off at set temperatures. Because of this feature, the GZ550 kit can be used with or without a designated wall switch for the electrical outlet below your fireplace. In addition, adjusting the speed with a rheostat variable speed control. My neighbor got a different one for 0 and you can't tell the difference by looking at it and it performs just as good as the more expensive model. It did not come with instructions just some tags on the wiring harness. If you are comfortable with understanding circuits than this is easy to install. All the equipment fit my fireplace and functions properly. The fan is noisy at full speed, but turn it down to 60%-75% and it is fairly quiet.
