this is a good little opaque projector for its price. i bought mine at michaels with a coupon for a lot less.but for starters it says to you use a 75 watt bulb (florescent preferred)but i’ve gotten away with using a 60 watt LED bulb which i highly recomend, it is a little bit dimmer but doesnt get as hot so you can use it longer which means it wont destroy your original. but the enlargement factor is pretty decent you can do any size you want depending on how big the original work is, it does not enlarge good at all after about 5 feet away from the projection. i do not recommend working on projects bigger than 24×36 inches as it becomes a real pain to readjust the projector to fit the scale. good for small projects and hobbies, terrible for professional art pieces.

Essential Mural Tool for Artistes, January 18, 2013

Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
This was purchased to paint a map on a wall for a theme room design. After I researched the best way to accomplish this I discovered most of my options were too expensive. Since the design I needed was smaller than one done on large buildings I decided I could use this much less expensive projector to transfer the map outline with precise detail. Even amateur DIY home designers will find this a great tool

Good Product at a Good Price, December 12, 2011
Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
I really like this tracer as a way to get a few basic lines to start a drawing. I only need to use it for a few minutes to get basic lines and proportions, so I don’t experience the heating problems mentioned in some other reviews. I also use a fluorescent bulb (as recommended). The instructions were very clear and simple, and told me everything I needed to know. Focus is mostly a matter of moving the device itself to a distance that’s appropriate. No problem at all. And the price is great.
