I put them in new cabinets in my kitchen for display items with glass doors.. Very simple to install. I also used them above and below cabinets. Splicing it together was a little tricky due to the waterproof silicon over the LED strip but watched a YouTube video on how to attach the included clips (the directions that come with this are not that good). If you can use a soldering iron get "tin" solder with flux core. Very easy, put a dab of solder on the connectors (only needed if you are going around tight corners or splicing several pieces together and putting inside cabinets where you don’t want the lights to connect to another piece where you do want it. After a day the strip was starting to sag. I plan to use some quality 3M double sided tape along the length of the strip, so I am still pleased overall. EDIT: I attached the strip to 3M 1×125″ double sided permanent adhesive and then installed it. No issues now! I installed both a color and white strip onto the 1″ wide adhesive, but they make a 1/2″ wide version, which I would use if only installing one strip. 0 |
