Absolutely fantastic string lights for your fun lighting needs. The retro look and feel of the string and the lights that come with it really make for great ambiance. The rubber that makes up the string and the hanging loops is seriously heavy duty, making hanging safe, sturdy and easy to do. My entire family likes the effect and highly recommends these lights from Brightech.

We have a 250 square foot screened deck that is used three seasons of the year. It’s nice, and we have a wall light and a standing lamp out there to give us the illumination needed after dark… but those lights were never quite enough, and really did not add much atmosphere out there.

This great set of string lights solved the issue! This string is 48 feet long in total; it measures about 35 feet from the first to the last light, while the remaining unlit lengths are about 11 feet (portion with the male wall plug) and about 2 feet (potion with a female plug, allowing you to connect another string). This was perfect for our needs as the lights covered the three screened sides of our deck, and I ran the wall plug length down the corner, tucked in to the siding, out of sight. The fit was almost as if these had been custom sized for our need.

Since there are 15 of them, the 11 watt retro style bulbs put out a wonderful soft light for the deck area. I put them up before my wife came home from work, and left them on to see her reaction — and it was excellent. She likes the way they look as much as the kids and I do. Equally fantastic was that I left them on for about three hours prior to her arrival, and the bulbs did not get hot to the touch whatsoever. They were warm, but nowhere near hot, so I have no concerns at all about the bulbs creating a heat issue where used indoors.

Installation was easy; all I did was break out my DeWalt 18v cordless drill, mount a Phillips head attachment to it, turn the drill’s speed down to low, place a screw into each hanging loop, and then turn the screw into the wall of the screened deck. I actually used drywall screws because they are black like the string’s rubber material and have a sharp point (easier to screw into the siding). Repeat 14 times and that was all it took.

Therefore, if an issue arises within that timeframe I will return here to update the review and let you know what the issue was and how resolution was handled. I did receive this light string gratis from the seller and have put it through its paces to objectively find out how well it performed. My statements here reflect that testing.

As a Top Reviewer, I am often asked to test, and review all sorts of outdoor lights. What I have really noticed lately, is the big strides these product has made, even in just the last 6 months.

In this case, I was asked to review the Brightech, Ambience Pro set, and when I saw the retro design, I just had to have them. My backyard looks like it is set up for a perpetual Christmas feast everyday. 🙂

The first thing I thought of when I opened the box, and took out the lights, was what good quality this set is. These lights were made for outdoor use, and they sure look like it! These have changed the entire ambiance of my yard.

The lights are 11 watt, S14 bulbs, which really give out a unique feeling of being retro. There are 15 lights and each one includes rubber light sockets. The string is 48′ long, and each light is about 30" a part. They really look good and provide a nice uniform, old fashion type atmosphere. Not only are they very durable, but it was simple to use them and set up this strand.

These are so neat looking, that we set them up in our Gazebo. You can change the bulbs, which we tried. The maximum wattage for each socket is 40 watts, and boy does that light up the place. For now we have a yellowish bulb in them to get a nostalgic effect, but when the holidays roll around we will insert all kinds of colored lights.

These lights are really a lot of fun, and I highly recommend them!
