Perfect covers for those glaring eye hurting lights in the garage. light as a feather and snaps on even over these new spiral power saver bulbs

When this item was priced very low I pounced. Glad I did because while it is unfancy plastic and also exposes the bulb socket "guts" I think it looks a lot nicer that the old fashioned glass one from who-knows-what-decade that it replaced. I'm not generally a fan of overhead lighting, but this shade has improved the look of the ceiling light fixture. You can see my photos in the Customer Image section.

I had a bare bulb in one room in an apartment that I rent. Because I am renting I did not care for a complicated or expensive fix, just something to make the lighting in that room (an office) a bit better. This shade arrived and did exactly what I needed. Note that if you are using it on a bulb from a ceiling that it will be flipped over from the picture- with the metal part on the bottom. It actually looks better that way. Just clips right on. No muss or fuss and if I really wanted to I could take it with me when I move. Not the most attractive option ever but it is considerably better than a glaring bare bulb and better looking than I had expected.
