Lutron’s new line of CL dimmers provides a solution to alleviate your dimmable CFL and LED dimming challenges, while allowing you to adjust the light level to improve mood and ambiance. with the same features as the original slide dimmer by Lutron, this Skylark dimmable CFL/LED dimmer features an easy to use slide control that adjusts the light to suit any activity, and a convenient switch that returns light to your favorite level. These dimmers still provide full-range dimming for halogen and incandescent bulbs, ensuring today’s dimmer is compatible with tomorrow’s light sources. The dimmer can even dim a mixed load of light sources (i.e. LED and halogen or CFL and LED bulbs on the same circuit). Claro wallplate is not included.

The slide control gives full brightness down to a glow. It does not seem to get warm to the touch the way some dimmer switches do. Dims all the way to 1% or so without buzz or flickering. (which matches my experience of other reviews for this product and avoids those problem reviews for a lessor product from same mfgr). It has a bottom end adjustment lever on the left (besides the utility on/off switch and fader) and with that fader at minimum, instructions say to set minimum fade setting at point where lights will actually come on when you turn the power switch off and on again. But at this 1%, the lights won’t come on again, and the point where this test suceeds the level is pumped up to like 25% dim and too high IMHO. I found a work around. I reestablished that 1%, and yes it doesn’t come on again when you turn on the lights, but when you raise the fader up to get light and bring the fader to minimum you do have 20% dim. But if you *accelerate* the rate of fade, the lights will dim even further, approaching the 1% and you have a very nice nightlight in the bathroom. 0 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Works like a champ, Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
